I had this one in hand and it appears to be unfired. I do not know much about Mannlicher-Schoenauer rifles, but I have found a number of websites with some informaton. In fact, this rifle is available in almost every modern calibres. Steyr-Mannlicher currently manufactures a rifle known as the 'Classic Mannlicher', which it bills on its website as 'a direct descendant of the world famous MANNLICHER Schoenauer models'.
